EvoLovin 2

Evo love is in the air!
So its not February 14th, but its August 14th and that will do just fine!!!
We head to Wallerfield courtesy the crew from TS*R Motorsports (Trini Sport Racing) from FL in the US of A for another installation of Evo-Lovin!

9 Evos cruising around a wet circuit on a cool Sunday afternoon - every auto enthusiast's dream! Trinituner.com teamed up with 'Mr. Autosport' himself Rawle Mahabir to make this dream a reality, in a safe and controlled environment; putting an end to the deafening silence that seemed unnatural on a Sunday afternoon at the Wallerfield raceway.

Suitably fitting, the drivers were accompanied by Jesse a.k.a. TriniOutlaw, who currently resides in the US. All were eager for him to tweak their cars, as his reputation for professional and quality tuning has grown widely from his experience in his South Florida garage, TS*R. Joining forces with Anil (Ralliart), these two formed a dynamic duo that together brought new life to the local AWD Mitsu boys.

The long, drying straight together with the drenched twisty back section left room for drag, circuit and the ever-popular drift action. On a day where everything seemed to harmoniously gel into place (or should I say pace), the drivers and their respective machines’ *cough cough fast-no-a$$ evos cough* setup conformed in one way or another to each racing discipline employed on the day.

From the get go, Nebert Marin (Mr Gear) came locked and loaded to conquer the circuit and all on it. Sitting behind the wheel of his Apex’i N1 tuned-suspension equipped Evo6, he carefully balanced throttle, clutch and brakes in a manner which made him undoubtedly the fastest man on the circuit – keeping full control of his car and allowing the occasional slide with the precision that has left him a true force to be reckoned with in Solodex.

On what most consider the more entertaining side of things, Sean ‘Porn Star’ Shairsingh showed off his fearless drifting ability, letting the back end of his Silver Evo7 step out at every possible chance. Some present wondered whether to applaud or frown upon his staggering lack of traction, however there was no doubting his driving ability as he left everyone wanting more, primarily his passengers. Gerrard ‘wagon r’ Wilson, a seasoned rally enthusiast, can easily attest to this fact as he was caught screaming like a baby in wet diapers as Sean threw the car around, leaving Gerry to fend for himself with nothing to hold on to during his “trip.”

On the drag side of things, everyone was reminded why the Mitsubishi Evolution has become such a force to be reckoned with in the racing world; their enormous power making way for many intense, tight battles throughout the evening. Eddie Fernands of Sound Research brought out his twin turbo VR4 into the fray to deal some smack down, it was good to see another AWD Mitsu monster on the track. The largest surprise was TriniTuner admin himself Duane ‘3NE 2NR’ Boodasingh, who was believed not long ago to have the slowest, most petted Evo in Trinidad, and as such dubbed the "1WD Evo" or "Evo-Stick" by his friends. Boy were they wrong, as Duane continuously proved that the tables had turned as he shared some licks on many of his counterparts, while all enjoyed a good laugh after in the pits.

This was a true testament to the great job of Jesse and Anil, who had turned around this Evo and many others locally as well. All in all it was a great time had by those present, and the Evos yet again proved why they are so feared in the automotive community. Kudos to the drivers present, who all drove splendidly and had everyone just about ready to wet themselves, as time and time again those crazy mofos were put on the edge, testing the limits of human and machine interaction.

This was definitely some Evo-Lovin!
