Just for kicks, a few the guys (Kevin, Aaron, Akash, Matthew, Nigel, Kasey – yes, we are calling names!) along with pro-level drivers Roger ‘Fabio’ Hutcheon (Drift/D&W), Gerard ‘Teknet’ Maraj (Drag) and Kristian ‘BoodooStig’ Boodoosingh (Karting/D&W/Circuit), decided to become James Bond and The Stig, at the same time. The result was like the Beastie Boys, of the motorsport variety, with everyone dressed in suits and wearing helmets– a whole load of cool rolled into one. And for once they were all quiet around cars. Except, for André from Paradise Motorsports. He broke the break in convention and showed up in WASA work coveralls, steel tipped boots and an open-faced helmet, presumably so he could still be loud. Then he posed lying on the ground. That was just weird, and made the pictures very... different. 

While we were doing our Zorce/Trinituner Fast & Furious lime at IMAX, our friends at Bad Granny were doing their televised promotion at Movie Towne. Their display featured along with models that resembled the cast and some hero cars including a fully customized Jeep (R. Maharaj), a Dodge Charger (Andre Lewis) that was prepped after a few years in storage, and a Subaru Impreza WRX hatch (Rev. D. Sieunarine) that was wrapped in order to pay tribute to the STi in the movie. And speaking of wraps, IMAX now offers a great new chicken wrap that we highly recommend, along with the burgers from Las’ Lap– one of the restaurants at One Woodbrook Place. 

Over the course of April, the display continued each week with alternating cars on display, including a 3rd-generation Mazda RX-7, a Mazda RX-8 R3 (V. Badaloo), Silvia S14, two Nissan R32 Skylines, a BMW 320i M-Sport (Wheel Wizard), and Jody Ali’s drift-spec S15, plus his clean, red, RX7 street car. Rev. Damien also kindly loaned us his Subaru for the month to display at IMAX. Coincidentally it’s up for sale, as is Ramon’s matte black Murano. Our friends from the Garage Fresh camp also joined out hard parking lime, just outside the Level 1 doors to the cinema with a white R35 Skyline, a black Lexus IS300, and their modified white Toyota Supra.
