Heliport says no, so we relocate to Bowen Marine, Chaguaramas.

With our plans to use the Heliport squashed due to lack of military clearance for 9 vehicles and camera crew, we decided to return to our meeting point at Bowen Marine. Having spent the first few hours there waiting for our driftmaster, GT4 monster and able seaman (Kerry) to arrive, we concluded that we could just put down the cones and make use of the "available" space. It was tight and there seemed much potential for many a close call but for us, space is space and we didn't wait 3 hours in the sun to go home unsatisfied.

Soon enough spectators began to appear, one family even pulled into the lot to take in the action first hand, others slowed down or parked on the roadway to grab a whiff of the burning rubber. By the 2nd round Synergy TV was "in the house" and Project Rx7 decided to change tires the hard way. All in all it was an afternoon well spent that delivered promise and a new enthusiasm for the next DRIFT Session!
