How should I go about sanding and painting my boat?

Disc sander or belt sander?
What type/brand epoxy paint? What about primer?

Anything else I shoud know? Its just the inside, side and gunnel need painting.
What about the dings on the exterior? Micro balloon and resin?

WELL 1ST Ill assume your boat is fibre glass

Disc sander or belt sander?

If your not skilled with a disc sander which is much quicker to cutt through teh gel coat you should use then a belt sander with about a 100 or 80 grade

when cut through all teh gel coat then you can use a 220 or 300 grade paper
thats if you want to remove teh gel coat if you want to ju s do a paint job on it alone us e a belt sander with 220 paper it should do teh job of jus cutting teh paint i am assuming then that teh boat was painted over the gel coat

What type/brand epoxy paint? What about primer?

again it depends on what finish you want an d weather you keep teh boat in the water at all times or if it sit s ona trailer and is only in teh water when your using it

Anything else I shoud know? Its just the inside, side and gunnel need painting.

What about the dings on the exterior? Micro balloon and resin?

dings can be grinded out and filled with the micro balloon /resin paste thet cann then b used liek body filler , smothed over and sprayed with gel coat

remeber it steh gelcoat that if don e properly is your hull s finish

then from teh water line use an approripte anti fouling

of cours if the boat is a wooden hull or steel hull different parctices will have to be followed
