I am wondering if the aftermarket will work? The wheels are aftermarket but the original bolts are used on these wheels and its real short.. |

The aftermarket will work if the original does, the bolts are exact same as original just longer. The reason for washers on the wagon bolts is based on the seat of the holes in the rim where the bolts fit, the seats on the wagon rims is not at the same angle 60 degrees as the hatch hence the washer. Rims vary when it comes to the bolt holes some are tapered at 60 degrees others at 45 degrees, if no washer is used on the 45 degree ones then the bolt will become slack over a period of time & your rim will wabble & possibly fall off, same with Fords as they have same issue. |
