Okay.. Okay so the competition entries run well late.. went and gone and didnt really get too much input from it - however I decide let's change it up a bit...

So here's the deal- you place a (reasonable size) image up and we'll throw in input and comments about it..

Jahling sent me three good shots of which my fav is this one... He has good depth of field (what's in focus) and the water droplets give a real nice effect.. drop in on your comments...

Thanks Kaveshla. I really like that pic too. It actually focused where I wanted it for a change. That camera is a pain to get a focus lock sometimes. It was a winter morning, well below freezing and there was frost on everything. I started the car to warm it up and that is why there are water droplets on the bonnet and the lower part of the Jaguar.

For the first one.. You got the sunset Laughing YAaaayyy... Good job on that one.. Did you think about getting the sunset or it just happened? Using the history tool in Pshop I lightened the tires and the grass in front the jeep...Yeah we really do want to see all the mud Cool Mud is good Wink
Oh - did you take any shots from a lower angle?

The second - well wished that the rides were in focus... Well if the image is viewed smaller - then it looks like its sharper - but the bigger version that you had posted up before showed that it was blurred.. Run a sharpening on it if anything...
Or.. Try getting more into the "panning" technique... especially for all the motosports..

You find the focus.. and then move with the car/van/kart.bike... etc.. and take the shot in motion.. It usually comes out blurred in the back and the car/van in focus..

LOVE THE BEAMER SHOT!!! where was that?
The kids pic.. I know how you mean with the scanning sometimes.. play with the levels and sauration maybe... I'll see what i can come up with.. Carnival well hard to shoot for and further more - so are kids!.. But see the lil kid in the yellow- the feather on her head blocking the other kiddie... Look for things like that - In a case like this - i'd probably take a shot like this and then if it just too busy or they moving too much- drop a telephoto shot and blur out everyone else...

Standard Van
Tried to capture essence of the design, and see past the vehicle's condition

MGB vs Scooby
Contrasting old vs new take on the classic round headlight

RX7
Just love the purposeful stance of this car..........tried to capture the essence of motion while at a standstill

All pics taken with a Sony Cybershot
no fancy equipment Sad

its the owner's newest acquisition.......could not be driven so they trailered it home......bought for sentimental value, not necessarily to restore.........even I wouldn't take on that project Laughing
