I suppose I will add mine for starters. I will post pics later, but there are some in
the solodex event pics from around solodex 3 last year come up.

Vehicle: 1985 Mitsubishi Lancer

Powerplant: 4G12 (1400cc)

Transmisson: Manual 4 Foward

Suspension: Stock springs (mildly lowered)
.................... Tokico oil front Shocks, Tokico Gas rear Shocks.

Exhaust:..... 2.25 inch straight through system.

Engine modifications/ bolt-ons:
................. Complete engine re-build.
................. Oversized pistons, Skived, ported and polished head,
................. Weber 32/36 carb on custom intake manifold,
................. K&N air filter,
................. Lightweight flywheel, NGK plug wires,
................. Crane Cams fireball ignition coil. A couple of other little tricks Cool
Body and paint: White,GSR front bumper/air dam, rear bumper and rear spoiler.
................. Black and red trim, Mitsubishi Motors decals.

Interior:..... Stock seats, Customised Dash, door panels and center consol.
................. Autogauge gauges.

Wheels: .... Street: 5.5 inch wide alloy racing wheels from the car's era,
.......................... 205/60/13 Sumittomo HTR 2000 tires.
................. Competition: 5 inch wide rear rims, 4 inch wide front rims - stock rwd
................. mitsubishi junkyard dogs restored and painted in hot rod black and red scheme.
................. 175/70/13 tires.

Competion use: Solodex, GS Catergory.

Future plans: Suspension modifications to stiffen ride while keepin near to current height.
Complete exterior and interior overhaul and customisation in keeping with the car's time
period. May move up to an NA 4G63 to be re-built in a similar manner to the 4G12.

Other comments:
This car is being built over time whilest being a daily driver with a "hot rod" approach
as opposed to the polpular "import tunner" approach.
The end result would be a car that would look and perform as if it were customised in
the late 1970's to early 1980's. It should perform competitively against some modern cars
without the use of expensive, complicated technology, at least that is the theory so far!
I am first and foremost into automobiles and other vehicles for the pure fun of it.

Galeria

Could never realy keep the front air dam in one piece due to our roads and my driving habits Embarassed

Not all that great, but fairly straight, I have a replacement for that back door, it will go on the car soon.

Only pair of all red back lights that I know of, customised em myself Wink . Real burnt muffler tip Laughing

Customised by myself, white dash will be black soon I hope. Check out my work on the gauges Very Happy

The powerplant, 4g12. Rebuilt by Previn Ajoda with the specs posted above.

Words to the "Wise" and "Otherwise"...
Remember gents that this is just like Las Vegas... for those who watch cable TV.
"What happens in Las Vegas... STAYS in Las Vegas"... 'nuff said. Wink

"Otherwise"... if a thread gets "deleted by accident"... There goes your proof. Shocked Confused ..... Laughing Laughing

For those with an Auditing background...
The term is "Due diligence"... and without the "Source document" (on the Forum)
as proof... Then you're screwed!... Laughing

Yep, the stock engine has just been basically tweaked. It just brings it up to speed with some of the lower end stock modern cars, can't realistically beat anything "fast".
