Okay! So what do owners in the Subaru camp really think about the Evo Question
Here are the opinions of some SUBARU owners (<--link) themselves...

Hi all looking at selling my wrx 01 and getting a evo 6 , I have been told that when you change
to a evo you will never go back to a subaru!!! Is this true ?
A lot of folk say the drive from an evo is far better then a scoob.

stewie wrote:
Yeah made the change myself a while ago. Lot better car in my opinion.
Only thing i miss about the scoob is the sound, theres nothing better!

beanie_lad wrote:
yeah I know, the flat four sound from a scoob is SWWWWWEEEEEEET.
But looking for more speed so its got to be an evo.

You won't look back, I had an STi8 and then a WR1 and then I went out and got myself an EVO.
So much more of a driver's car, more fun, more grip, more power and better built.
...

No as everyone is differnt. Some will go back, some won't, most won't though.
I prefered my subaru to drive around town and the motorway.
The evo is a better car if you want to drive quicker.

The Hood wrote:
This debate about evo or scoob seems destined to run and run and run..........
Put simply, both are very capable ways of getting from A to B very quickly indeed but
on public roads, there is little to choose between either. Only on a track do the
differences start to emerge and that's when the evo starts to get its nose ahead

I've owned 6 scoobs against only 2 evos with the best being the P1 WR and MR FQ-340. Both
were truly fantastic and while the exhaust note from the scoob still makes the hairs on my neck
stand up, the sheer grip and thump of the evo is something very special indeed.

I don't think you can loose which ever camp you are in, both are Cool
Thunderbirds are GO.............evos go QUICKER!

Subby... Nice exhaust note... smooth cruiser... not so economical...good performance.
Evo... Better handling especially at higher speed... FASTER!... More economical.
... So much more of a driver's car... more fun.
Their $0.02¢ = Evo... Subby ...

My $0.02¢... Mitsubishi Rulez!... 'Nuff said! Laughing

Comments Question ... Mutt Question ... Laughing

Here are a couple more...
peter grant wrote:

On paper it (new STi + ₤3000 rebate) looks a good deal but the EVO is better all round,
sound proofing and just generally more solid... nothing much wrong with scoobies but EVO's
are just a more solid car, I've had both now and prefer the EVO.. any other comments??

ive had all sorts of imprezas but the EVO is the daddy. no messing hard core power

Difficult to argue with that logic... Cool Laughing
