just bought a 206sw for the folks
PBO series, gold paint
one owner from new
A few niggling issues: knock from rear end, right side power window stuck, buttons on key don't work
Interior is like brand new
I know these cars have been known to have transmission failures.
Can anyone shed light on this? and where repairs can be done if it does in fact fail?
The previous owner told me his mechanic said it was slipping. It feels fine to me...

First thing i am not aware of 206 having tranny issues..I thought it was the 307 that do have these bugs..Did you contact the person in south?

I know someone who had to rebuild the tranny on her 206, and she said she knew a few ppl who did as well.............

looks good.... you need to get that badge for the trunk!!

the key could just be the battery or the key be effed so you may need to order one. the suspension i dont know much about cuz they different from the 306.... the window if it slides down then ud have to change the window regulator.

just the cable buss
I sure I can fix it
The key internal board gone, but dlittlelion direct me to someone in Curepe who could get a replacement
I have to poke around the rear end and figure out why it has so much negative camber...

think the tranny is beginning to slip
as soon as it shifts into 2nd, the rpms shoot up from 3k to 4k before settling down....and sometimes at low speed it feels like it's hunting for the right gear
gonna change the fluid and see if that's the problem (I hope)

ok so I decided to put on some proper plates on the car...........not sure I like them tho, now that they're on the car...
not bad at the back

but the front kinda overpowering

u can see from this pic how the rear wheel camber is off.........need to check that and deal with it

the previous owner replaced the shocks, and there's still ah harsh knock when going over bumps, pot holes etc...
