Torsion beam I believe, not adjustable if memory serves me correctly.
If the alignment is truly out, then it means that something is bent. _________________ Livng life one day at a time

that can be a few things like shocks bottom out, the torsion bar has serviceable parts in their that needs to be changed after a while, cant remember exactly what but i did service to mine about 1 year ago. But it wont be camber on the rear unless something is bent, but if only when going over bumps if the car is lowered, how low? cause the bump stops could be hitting on the chasis also. |

Seems that you may have to do some scraping of the rear suspension to find out, why dont you check Curtis & those guys in El Socorro to do a test drive, they running a what i call a Peugeot bamboo, they may very well be able to tell you whats the problem as they working on these cars every day now for years. |

ok so here's the deal:
he's going to rebuild the rear end; remove it, send it to the machine shop to rebuild the torsion bar (more details when I fully understand the process), including new wheel bearings, but we'll do that in January.
For now, main priority is to replace the timing belt as a precautionary measure, and replace the solenoid in the transmission that is causing the BANG when upshifting from 2nd to 3rd
He said the slip in the tranny isn't to bad, so might not require a rebuild, just a valve replacement and some piston oil seals, which we'll do in January along with the rear end.......all told, maybe 5-6k in parts and labour, which is not bad on a car we paid 20k for, and considering it's otherwise like new. Hobbes commented that the car felt and handled pretty good, and expects it to drive like new with the rear end sorted!
I'll see if I can get pics of the work as it progresses _________________

I had a feeling the tranny issues were the solenoid. We change a pair in the 307 and it working good 3yrs now. |
