by bleed, you mean run with radiator cap off, and hose running just enough to keep it filled? if so yep.
now this water loss is consistent over the last week and change. with me topping off the rad and overflow. would it not have filled that?
all the same i was told to run it with the cap off, and see if it bubbles up when the fans switch on. wont have time to do that till tomorrow evening though. _________________ PROUD MEMBER OF D WAGON BOYZ @ DEX

this water loss has me as crazy as rat in the above comic.
but i am convinced it's one of the hoses around the throttle body.
the problem is my paws are a bit too big to fit in there and remove / check / reattach.
and most of the garage falls into that category.
worse case scenario, remove bonnet, and lift engine slightly to do the above. _________________ PROUD MEMBER OF D WAGON BOYZ @ DEX

The one that warms the throttle body? If so, can it be condemned? _________________

Most likely they would be the two hoses from manifold to the heater..... _________________ Feel the Power of the |

yup, one of these lil buggers.
now these are between intake and firewall.
to give an idea how close it is. that circular opening on the left, is the top of the throttle body / intake manifold.

I'll take a pic tomorrow and show you what I'm talking about. Wagon, You don't have that stock filter box, so you should get some space.
Btw, have you ever cleaned your MAF?
I'm looking all over for this and nobody seems to have it http://www.crcindustries.com/auto/content/prod_detail.aspx?S=Y&PN=05110 _________________ Feel the Power of the |

I've put my hands in smaller places... wait... that came out bad (or really good!)
You may have to jack the engine a bit to access properly from what I can see. _________________

Sorry for the late pics.
From the F.A.S.T diagram you posted, in my first pic, the hose below the two ground wires is 14055M.
The two hoses at the top left corner seem to be 14055NA, not sure about that one These two hoses connect to the heater, in the second pic.
The hose just below the fan-switch connector should be 14055+A
Hope you solve this problem soon _________________ Feel the Power of the |

Yadda yadda. head gasket blown.
head not cracked, a shave, a gasket and the other accouterments later, back on the road.
Wanted to replace / upgrade radiator, ended up with the replacement.
This is the one that i took out. (wanted to replace anyway, so no worries there). but will get a metal one built for the upgrade.
This is the one i replaced it with. It's a dual core, but seems exactly like the one i took out (apart from the top tank), which means the repair from June included a dual core then.
Upgrade incomplete.
zodiaque,
if i put my unit on low in the mornign when i am leaving i will be uncomfortably cold by the time i get to bamboo junction.
without the A/C on the glass "fogs", so being able to shift the selector a bit to the right is a god-send. _________________ PROUD MEMBER OF D WAGON BOYZ @ DEX

(Looks in altas to verify present location) I've heard of climate change, but this is ridiculous.
Of all the soft-skinned wim.......
I guess I spent too many years cutlassing cocoa in the rain and bathing in rainwater too late at night.
Roll down the windows n take some breeze! You want warm? Put in a cast-iron engine and leave the mats home...
