Calling all gear-heads!... Is it possible to convert an Evo 6 RS to ACD control?
Can you use an Evo 7 or 8 "Active Centre Diff" transfer case in an Evo 6?...
Then add an Evo 7 or 8 ECU and harness to get "switchable" ACD control
(Dry/Gravel/Snow) settings in an Evo 6 RS2 with rear LSD 
Yes I know that I'll have to "massage" the fire-wall a little for clearance.
I already have the E7 ECU and harness, all that's missing is the E7 transfer case and switch.
That will give the Evo 6 adjustable torque split front to rear.
That way I can get the best of both worlds... E6 appearance and handling and the
extra advantage of E7/8 ACD control, to make handling even better  
Comments and suggestions?...

anything is possible in this world, but not as simple as that, you also need sensors on all four wheels, pump, full wireing harness etc.
would not be a cost effective project i think

I already have Evo 6 GSR hubs that contain ABS wheel-sensors that could be used...
I also have the full Evo 7 GSR harness that I could use if necessary...
I don't really understand about the pump though...
Isn't ACD control simply electronic? I didn't know that it requires hydraulics as well? 
What pump? Isn't that only for AYC use for rear AYC diff housing?
Why is it necessary for ACD? The US Evos have no AYC.
They use an LSD yet they all have ACD control from 2005... ???
What's the difference with the older E6 RS?
I can see that the US Evo 8 ACD ECU from the console will be required... but what else?
The only other thing (except ACD ECU) missing AFAIK is the Evo 7-8 transfer case containing
the ACD unit.
BTW is the front "yolk" (driveshaft connection) from the E6 the same size as the E7?
Am I missing something?
