MINI vehicles come with a two-year mechanical and a 12-year anti-corrosion warranty.
Hyundai Introduces its New Veloster on the Road : Hyundai made the most of T&T’s abundance of long weekends and holidays by planning their Car Crawl and Lime promotion on the evening before Spiritual Baptist Liberation Day. The atmosphere in Woodbrook was abuzz with activity as people came out for their customary, pre-holiday, after-work limes. The convoy of brand new Hyundai Velosters and Elantras were all dressed up and ready to head down Cipriani Boulevard and Ariapita Avenue.Aside from the viewings at the showroom, the event was designed to debut the brand new Veloster to the public, parade-style. As the cars took their sweet time to move along, they effortlessly turned heads and slowed traffic all evening long. Naturally, the breathtaking Hyundai models in their racer-girl outfits also managed to capture everyone’s attention too, making everyone forget that they were ever in a hurry. The Hyundai men also flanked the crawl carrying backlit signs that, along with photos of the new Veloster and Elantra, invited people to join th...
Bissessar Receives FIA Award of the Americas : Sheldon Bissessar, also known as ‘the Trinidad Rocket’, was recently nominated by the Trinidad & Tobago Automobile Sports Association for the Award of the Americas for outstanding achievement in motorsport for 2011. Mohammed Ali, President of the TTASA, and Premanand Badaloo of the TDC and others made the journey with Sheldon to the Hotel RIU in Panama City, Panama where the official prize giving ceremony was held in honour of sportspersons from affiliated Latin American and Caribbean countries. The FIA’s top regional officials congratulated Bissessar on his international success in the field of drag racing. By the end of the night it was apparent that in this particular discipline there were no other competitors who had done as exceedingly well.
Detroit Motor Show 2012 : The International Motor Show calendar kicked off the year with Detroit's North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) where 770,000+ people attended. Highlights included the new Acura NSX with its unique 4WD hybrid gas/electric system, the stunning new Lexus LF-LC Sport Coupe Concept, the exciting Code 140R and Tru130S compact sports car concepts from Chevrolet and the new Dodge Dart. Cadillac also showed off its new agile, rear-wheel-drive, BMW 3-series fighter called the ATS. Hyundai showed their sporty side with a refreshed 2013 Genesis Coupé and their new Veloster Turbo while Scion captivated enthusiasts with Ken Gushi's new 600+hp FR-S drift car!
Total Trailblazers 4x4 Annual All Terrain Challenge: Mud Mad... : “And everywhere that Mary went, the van was sure to go…” The day began in earnest with a 7 a.m. call time at the Caroni Bird Sanctuary. Suzuki Jimnys, Toyota Hiluxes, Mazda BT-50s, Ford Rangers, Land Rovers, Range Rovers and even a chop-top, door-netted Nissan Patrol were gearing up for a taste of the Total Trailblazers 4x4 Annual All Terrain Challenge event. Last year there was so much rain that the King of the Hill had to be cancelled but this year things seemed off to a great start.
Nissan announces the Juke-R : The Ultimate Compact Crossover : JUKE-R SET TO INJECT NEW EXCITEMENT INTO THE CROSSOVER MARKET Not content with re-shaping the new car market by pioneering the crossover - a success reflected in the soaring sales of its Qashqai and Juke models - Nissan is now creating the Juke-R, the first ever super crossover. Only two Juke-Rs will be created, one in left-hand-drive and one in right-hand-drive.
'Bagodex 2011 : Every year, for the last three years running there has been a Solodex score to settle between the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. The Trinis, being naturally cocky, usually think that they have the competition in the bag– after all, there is a full season of Solodex each year plus, practice events at ARC so they have more seat time. It is a fairly established fact that drivers who are regulars of winding roads like those in Princes Town or Maracas Valley, for example, seem to have an easier time on the course, once they manage to grasp it. This quiet phenomenon has allowed Tobagonian competitors to refine their natural ability thanks to the roads they drive on every day. They are in a sense like the Bajans, except that the roads in Barbados are far more slippery.
Hyundai reveals first images of new i30 : High Wycombe, 7 September 2011 – Hyundai has revealed the first photo of the new-generation i30, ahead of the car’s world premiere at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) next week, showing an exciting new look for the company’s best-selling C-segment hatchback.
Suzuki Swift Sport to debut in Frankfurt : The all-new Swift Sport offers higher power and lower fuel consumption are delivered by the 1.6-litre M16A engine, developed exclusively for the Sport model. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission, also developed specifically for the Swift Sport. We can also look forward to superior cornering stability and brisker, more responsive handling thanks to struts with internal rebound springs and an exclusive rear-suspension design. The car will debut at Frankfurt this coming September at the IAA International Auto Show 2011 and hopefully we'll be seeing a few at Lifestyle Motors shortly after. With all the great improvements on the all-new chassis for the regular Swift 1.4, we can't wait to get our hands on this model for a test drive!
