Once again the ninth cloud made its way into the Zen nightclub for a healthy dose of the best electronica entertainment found on Planet Earth. As per standard rave practice, everyone had to find out the hard way and tickets were hard to come by– a small price to pay for the handsome reward.
Filo & Peri opened the set at around 11:30 pm jamming some seriously energetic tracks while mixing in a few oldies that demonstrated their immense diversity and flexible style much to the delight of our smallish local Rave crowd. There is no doubt that thanks to this event, we are going to see a significant increase in the level of interest in electronica events. Of course it help that Johnny Soong owner of the Zen nightclub has a soft spot for this genre of music. As Filo and Peri wrapped up their ripping tracks, Jes of Motorcycle was brought onstage to sing her tracks live at Zen! The crowd instantly shifted gears and rocked the night away circling everything with their glowsticks.
Serge Devant came on in the wee hours of the morning and provided the perfect wind down set as Ravers cruised out of Zen, satisfied that they had been provided with a night of world-class kick-ass electronic music and a brilliant experience.
