  • TTDA Drift Motion 1

Trinidad and Tobago Drift Association (TTDA) held its first public event for the year on Sunday 22nd March 2015 at the Arima Race Club’s car park. This event, the first of four planned for 2015 intended to place drifters in mild competition, while showcasing the sport and training new interested drivers to expand the exposure of the drift scene in Trinidad and Tobago. The weather was exceptional, great sunshine all day with light drizzles after lunch, though unlike other motorsports the threat of rain is more than welcome at Drift Motion.

Made possible through the assistance and cooperation of other motorsport bodies such as Autosport, Trinidad and Tobago Karting Association, TriniMarshalls, Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross and not forgetting the sponsors and supporters such as Lubetech, Toyota Trinidad and Tobago, Sharma’s Tyre Service, Wheels Plus Limited, Kaizen Trading, Chef Café, Zorce Magazine, Trinituner, Downes Digital Studios, KVTV and all other media and photographers who contribute.

Yesterday’s action saw a return of some of the usual suspects as well as serious introduction to groups of new comers seeking to up their drift game. It was a unanimous understanding that the most improved drifter for the day was  Michael Heerah from the Kaizen Trading Crew in the white Nissan R32 Skyline. But kudos must also be given to the old veteran Devon Bartholomew with Drift Corp in the grey MK4 Supra for being the most consistent drifter on the day by consistently holding the drive line by hitting the clipping points. (POOL NOODLES: yes that’s what they’re for! As clipping points are key in judging a driver’s capability through a course.). Last but not least, special mention to Duane Bann from Team 3D all the way from Fyzabad for most smoke on the day. While this is not a major judging criteria it is always a crowd favorite and must therefore be acknowledged. He was killing whatever mosquitos he could and then did it again in style with some coloured smoke tyres which sent the crowd WILD!!!!!!!!!!!!

All in all, it was a good day, photos and videos can be found on the TTDA facebook, we thank all our supporters, patrons and sponsors for making the event a success and look forward to it again at our next event on Sunday 28th June 2015.

  • World Time Attack Australia 2017

WTAC as seen by a Trini --

[Oct 2017] We got in bright and early on Day 1. The air was clean and fresh, as the cars had not yet begun their runs. WTAC or World Time Attack challenge has become the Mecca of sorts for the top vehicles in the world that compete in the time attack niche. In this form of motorsport, drivers compete for the ultimate lap time, in their respective categories, and of course in the overall competition.
