Jaguar’s premium Sunset Party and launch of the Jaguar E-Pace at Brian Lara’s Knaggs Hill Residence in Port of Spain inspired the evening with romance despite overcast weather. The clouds were a vivid colour-cast canvas for a great sunset. 

After being shuttled up the hill from the valet parking area at the Emperor Valley Zoo, we were able to enjoy premium drinks, hors d’oeuvres and mingling with the well-heeled crowd. Even the cricket legend himself, Brian Lara was there– and not just for making an appearance, but to greet guests and take a few selfies (with the hashtag #JaguarEPace). Other sports celebrities in attendance included Dwayne Bravo and Russell Latapy. 

When the wraps came off of the new Jaguar E-Pace, we were able to appreciate its beautiful yet compact design. Jaguar has dabbled in the idea of blending sport, luxury and capability for years and this 4WD E-Pace promises to be a practical blend of all these traits, blessed with the latest in technological connectivity (including 4G, in-car WiFi, and a very large standard touch screen), a sporty silhouette and surefootedness in any weather. With a 5-star Euro NCAP rating, it also offers the highest world standards in terms of crash safety.

 

According to Jaguar’s Director of Design, Ian Callum “We designed the E-PACE to be a Jaguar for active people who need space and practicality, but see no reason to compromise on performance. Its proportions, stance and lines express this as a driver’s car, while the interior offers true Jaguar levels of luxury and sportiness.”

 

As some attendees saw at the recent MovieTowne soft launch event, the Jaguar E-Pace has also found its way into the Guinness World Records for the furthest barrel roll in a production vehicle– as evidenced by the movie clip below! Who knew that this was more than just a marketing stunt with movie effects? Combined with all its advanced technology, the secret agent appeal is definitely strong with this model. 

The feature list for the TT$699K First Edition model shown at this launch event is quite extensive, and we expect that it will be an exciting test drive when we finally get to try it.
